No Such Thing As Miracles?

If you are a regular reader of this blog, you will know that I often talk about miracles and how you can see more of them in your life. So why would I all of a sudden share something like this?

For God and those with the the highest amounts of faith, a “miracle” is just another ordinary event. It’s just business as usual. The key is in the last line of the quote…It only seems like supernatural to those who deem these incredible events as beyond logic.

Here is the challenge I present today…bring your faith to such a level that extraordinary events are just business as usual. Make it so that they present no surprises. Still be thankful for them and awestruck by them. However, the less you are surprised by these extraordinary events, the more you will look for them and see them in your own life.

I would be lying if I said I was at a point where all miracles were expected. However, I have a come to a point in my life where I expect them a lot more, and these miracle events are not so illogical any more. It’s an indicator that my faith has grown a great deal.

I recommend you use this same indicator in your own life. Should you believe in miracles? Of course you should. However, the challenge is to grow your faith to a level that these “miracles” soon become regular occurrences. Although we never take them for granted, they become business as usual, as I mentioned earlier.

How do I develop this faith, you ask? The best way I’ve found is to visualize. See them happen regularly in your mind. Then when they happen for real, you are not surprised. This practice also develops the positive thoughts and emotions it takes to succeed in all endeavors of life.

Please know there is such a thing as miracles. Please believe it. But also know that all things are possible with God, and in His eyes nothing is a miracle. It’s just business as usual. If you walk around with that kind of faith, you will have the whole world in your hands just as He does. Enjoy the blessings : )


Can Thoughts Make Your Life Interesting?

I will begin with a quote that I believe will answer the question presented in my title…”The happiest people in the world are those who have the most interesting thoughts” – William Lyon Phelps.

I am a firm believer in the power of our thoughts. When you think positive thoughts, your outcomes in life are positive. The same is true for negative thoughts.

We have full control of the thoughts we think. Besides maintaining positive thoughts, we have the gift of imagination. This gift is not just limited to small children playing games. This gift does not get old with age. It is still readily available to use at any time.

Based on the quote above, why not use your imagination to create the most interesting and ideal thoughts? Visualize scenes of experiencing the success you desire. See yourself living your dream life. Feel the unlimited Godly power that is a part of you. Envision yourself as free from financial worry, with your dream partner, in your ideal body, with a smile constantly on your face.

When you visualize these types of scenes, this life eventually becomes part of you. You eventually can’t see yourself living life any other way. As a result, your life is full of the joy and happiness you are seeking. It’s all because of the beautiful thoughts you are thinking, and the beautiful scenes you are creating.

I will pose a question that I would love to know your opinion on. What are interesting thoughts? This answer may be different for everyone. I invite you to share. How To Avoid Success

Ok hockey fans, today’s quote is from the best of all time, Wayne Gretzky. He once said “you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take”.

How true is this? I know as a hockey fan, my biggest pet peeve is when players don’t shoot the puck. Instead, they try to be too fancy or make too many passes. I always say it…you can’t score if you don’t shoot.

I apply this to life in general. Opportunities to shine and succeed are presented to you more than you realize. However, as Gretzky says, you won’t make it if you don’t take the shot. Too many times, people either wait for the perfect situation, pass the opportunity to someone else, or simply sit back and wait. I know it happens, because in the past, I’ve passed up opportunities in all three ways I just mentioned.

My title is a bit ironic, but you can easily avoid and pass up success if you don’t take the shot. To turn it to a positive, I will challenge you to keep your mind focused on success, and take as many shots as you need in order to score the goal. Unfortunately, you don’t score every time you shoot, but your chances at success increase dramatically the more shots you take.

Please don’t avoid success today or any day. When the opportunity presents itself, don’t pass up the shot. Take it yourself (and with assists from others) all the way to the goal. If you persist, you will surely score! Enjoy the blessings : )


Enjoying The Small Moments

I love this quote for several reasons. The main reason is that I am often guilty of waiting for “the big one”. The earth-shattering event that finally sets my life in motion towards the greatness I seek.

It is when we follow the advice of this quote that life is at its best. Enjoy the beautiful little moments that are often ignored. Take those small occasions and make them big and exciting ones. It’s all in the perspective of the mind.

Here in the U.S. we have a holiday weekend that is often spent with family and friends. Whether you are celebrating a holiday or not, I recommend you take the small, beautiful moments this weekend, and cherish them. Make them as memorable as possible, and share them with as many people as you can. Enjoy the wonderful blessings : )


A Powerful Way To Move Forward

As we enter a new year, many of us seek to grow, move forward, and accomplish unrealized goals. We long to take advantage of this annual fresh start we are granted and take our lives to a higher level.

As I seek Heavenly guidance on how to accomplish these new feats in my life, I am continually receiving the same message. I feel as if God is revealing the key to moving ahead in life. That key is…be fully content exactly where you are. What??!! How can I ever move ahead if I’m being told to be happy where I am now? It’s an interesting question, but one I think we need to pay a great deal of attention to.

I have found two Bible verses that summarize this concept. The first is from I Timothy 6:6, and it says: Godliness with contentment is great gain. One version says the combination of Godliness with contentment is great and abundant wealth. This tells me that those of us looking to grow and advance need to do two things. One is to rely on God and obey His commands. The other is to be consciously thankful on a regular basis for the blessings we have already received. Also, this tells me that, no matter how much we want to move ahead, we must place our full focus on our current situations and responsibilities.

The defintion of contentment from another Bible version leads me to our next verse. The simple definition according to the Amplified Bible is a sense of inward sufficiency. I see this as being a constant satisfaction with my self and circumstances, even when things may not be going according to my desires. Another excellent verse is Philippians 4:12-13. The apostle Paul says, “I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well-fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want”. The key comes in verse 13…I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.

Remember that defintion of contentment…a sense of inward sufficiency. When we rely on God’s strength, He who lives inside us provides all of the inward sufficiency we need! Knowing this, we can move in step with HIm, and be led to the places and opportunities that will move us ahead. However, that can only happen if we focus on and appreciate our current situations.

I live with the firm belief that, the more thankful we are, the more blessings we will receive. When we are content in our current circumstances, we continually maintain an attitude of gratitude that will bring us to the situations to take us to the next level.

In conclusion, if you are looking to move ahead in life, the best way to do so is by appreciating your current circumstances, devoting your full energy to them, and trusting in the God that does all things for our good. If you follow this formula, you will soon be in the higher place you are seeking, and enjoy blessings beyond your imagination. I’m sure that’s something you can definitely be content with. A Spirit Of Power

One of my favorite Bible verses is 2 Timothy 1:7. It says God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, love, and self-discipline.

Let us take this as a reminder. God’s powerful spirit is with us at every moment of every day. Instead of putting things off because of fear of failure, let us charge right in with confidence, knowing that the Godly spirit within us enables us to accomplish anything.

What is it you are looking to accomplish today? Where is it you are looking to go? Have faith that you can ask God for help, and He will be there with you all the way. He knows the way. Just do your part and He will do His. Know that your victory is already won because of the powerful spirit within you. You can’t lose!
