How To Find the Keys to the Kingdom of Heaven

July 29, 2014

It was be great to be able to go anywhere or be anything we wanted to be, wouldn’t it? Think about it. On a frigid winter day instantly taking yourself to a warm beach on Miami; Beaming with confidence in a situation that normally produces fear; Accomplishing a goal you’ve always wanted to conquer. The list can go on endlessly.

I have been reminded often in recent times that we indeed have this power. We can bring ourselves anywhere and be anything we want to be. I share this reminder with you today. It’s a wonderful, God-given gift called our imagination. The great thing about this wonderful gift is that, not only can be used to produce wonderful dreams and situations, but it can be used to make those dreams a reality.

How can our imagination, this wonderful gift that had us fantasizing about being parents, actors, firefighters, athletes, heroes, etc. as kids take us to higher levels as adults? It happens in two ways. One is the thought. That is envisioning yourself in the situation or as the person you want to be. It is effective because it affects your subconscious mind. It is this part of your mind that affects the actions you take. When your mind is positively impacted, it inspires you to take the required action to reach your goal, thus getting you there faster.

Here’s the second factor, and what I am learning is even more important. Your imagination can provide the feelings of fulfillment, the same positive feelings you would have if you were actually where you wanted to be. I am learning more that it is these feelings which impact the subconscious in a significant way, even greater than the strong thoughts.

What this tells me is the more you can put yourself in the state of being and feeling that reflects your dream and goal being fulfilled, the faster you will get there for real. Here’s an excellent quote from a book on this idea called “The Power of Awareness” by Neville Goddard. I see it as one of the great keys to creating your desired life…. “The man who at will can assume whatever state he pleases has found the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven. The keys are desire, imagination, and a steadily focused attention on the feeling of the wish fulfilled. To such a man any undesirable objective fact is no longer a reality and the ardent wish no longer a dream”.

The ticket to heaven and how to get there is another discussion altogether. However, if you are looking to experience heaven on earth, this author and others with the same message provide the key. Hold a picture of your desire in your mind and don’t let it go. Then feel it and live it as if you already have it. As the author says, assume the wish fulfilled and it is yours.

I realize we have to act and play our part too. However, I don’t know about you, but if these are the two very simple steps we have to take to realize our wishes and goals, then what is stopping you? If you haven’t spent time using your imagination and feeling and “experiencing” the wish fulfilled, try it now and see how powerful it is. You have nothing to lose. If anything, you will make yourself happier simply by thinking beautiful thoughts. Yet there is much more positive to gain along with it. Enjoy the blessings 🙂

As a post note, in addition to your imagination, you can use several other techniques to realize your desires quickly. This free e-book, The Ease and Keys of Rapid Manifestation will show you how 🙂

Feel It Now

January 12, 2014

One of my major New Year’s intentions (I refuse to call them resolutions) for the past few years has been to “do it now”. This to combat my natural tendency to procrastinate. I’m still not perfect in that area, but I was able to drop it from my intention list for this year because I have learned to “act now” on a much more regular basis. It’s simply a matter of continuing that momentum.

In recent years, I have also been taught another concept, one that I haven’t quite mastered. However, when I follow it I am almost guaranteeing the realization of what I want to accomplish. I share this with you today because the same is true for you. If you can get the hang of this idea and utilize it regularly, you are personally inviting the manifestation of your dream life.

The concept is to “feel it now”. What this means is to determine what you want, and deliberately feel the feelings you would feel as if you already had what you desire. For example, I am looking to double my income this year. How will I feel when this happens? I will feel freedom from debt, major gratitude towards God, the good feelings of giving to others, the joy of knowing I can enjoy my favorite activities more, such as going out to dinner, attending sporting events, more travel, etc. The key for me on a regular basis would be to imagine already having the extra money, then feeling and being thankful, joyful, and free. If I do this on a consistent basis, I will rapidly speed up the manifestation process.

I am now practicing my mind-reading skills and can hear you wondering…how can simply imagining the accomplishment of my goal and feeling the feelings bring it about when I am not even close to having it yet? It’s all about something I’ve discussed frequently on this blog. It’s all about the subconscious mind. Manifesting your desires is all about faith and believing that something can happen. If you look back on all of your greatest accomplishments in life, you will see that you believed in its possibility, and you then worked to make it happen. When you envision yourself accomplishing a goal and feel the corresponding positive emotions, you convince the subconscious that it is actually happening. The coolest thing is that your subconscious cannot tell the difference between a real or imagined event, so it is taking your visions and feelings as true. As a result, your faith increases, and with faith all things are possible.

Another question you may be asking is…what about taking action? Isn’t faith without works dead? I have found that if you follow the steps above, and your faith is made strong, the action becomes automatic. People procrastinate mostly because they don’t know exactly what needs to be accomplished, and because they don’t have faith in their ability to make it happen. By imagining and feeling, you know exactly what you want, and you now have the faith in your ability to bring it about. At this point, I recommend you ask yourself what action you believe you need to take. Consider it and pray about it. Once you feel led to act, do so as quickly as possible. With the added faith and confidence you now have, your actions are much more likely to be successful. Even if obstacles arise (which they will) you will have the strength to get around them. As you see more success and see yourself getting closer to your goal, your faith and confidence will build even more, and you will be more eager to act until you reach your promised land.

I can write for hours on this topic. Until recently, I have known this information, but didn’t apply it consistently. Since I have done it consistently, I have noticed an almost immediate difference. It is amazing how powerful your feelings are. When you bring yourself to experience the positive feelings and emotions you will feel upon the manifestation of your goal, you will feel that way on a much more regular basis. That is because your dream will quickly become reality, and those feelings will be a regular, automatic part of your being. I challenge you to try this for yourself and see how true this is. Enjoy the blessings 🙂

It’s An Emotional Matter

May 7, 2013

One of my main themes on this blog is about using the power of your mind to live the life you want to live. I say it all the time (as do many others) that the more positive your thoughts are, the more positive outcomes you will experience. It’s also great how you can use your God-given free will to deliberately monitor your thoughts and take control of your life.

The problem with this is that it is difficult to monitor your thoughts on a consistent basis. If you are like me, your days get extremely busy and you think many different thoughts. So how can you tell if your are thinking the right thoughts? The answer…drum roll please….is by your emotions. How are you feeling? The answer to that question also answers the one about what you are thinking. When I first began studying the power of the mind and being sure to maintain positive thoughts, I didn’t believe that emotions played a big part. After all, it is difficult even for the happiest person to feel happy every moment of the day. One can’t be expected to be, as negative experiences and difficult obstacles are inevitable for anyone. However, the more I continued to study, the more I realize that, even though we can’t be expected to be perfectly hapy all the time, our emotions are still the best indicator about how we are thinking.

The key with using emotions as your guideline is consistency. Ask yourself..”how am I feeling on a regular basis?” If you are generally feeling sad, frustrated, and negative, it means you have been thinking negatively. As a result, you are likely experiencing generally negative situations, not reaching the goals you have set for yourself and living the life you want. On the other hand, if you are generally feeling good, positive, optimistic, and hopefull, you are thinking those types of thoughts, and most likely enjoying those types of circumstances.

Once again I will say that no one can be expected to be happy all the time, especially if going through a difficult time, like job loss, death of a family member, etc. However, when you monitor your emotions and strive to think the most positive thoughts possible, even these most difficult situations become easier.

Success in life begins in the mind with positive, faithful thoughts. Constantly monitor your emotions to be sure you are thinking those types of thoughts. If you’re feeling good and positive, it means you are on the right track to attract those types of situations in your life. The more positive your thoughts and the more powerful your feelings and emotions, the greater happiness and success you achieve in life. It makes a big difference in life, and for me, sometimes it’s so overwhelmingly positive that it makes me emotional. Enjoy the blessings : )

What Are You Complaining About?

March 10, 2013

“A change of feeling is a change of destiny” – Neville Goodard

I start with this quote because I had a conversation with someone about the art of complaining. Totally by accident, this person said something so profound that I felt the need to share. He is going through some difficult times in his life right now. He said he is trying to think positive because he said the more he complains, the worse things seem to get.

BINGO! It’s the same simple fact for everyone. The more you complain, the worse things get. Why? Because what you receive in life is in relation to the thoughts you think, and the things you say. When you complain, you are thinking negatively, and saying negative things. As a result, you automatically receive more of the negative, especially if you are thinking about something specific.

I realize there are many things to complain about, and it’s something very easy to do. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t complain at times. I don’t like to, but it happens sometimes. However, I do it far less now, because I am much more aware of its negative impacts.

So how do you change the negative situations in your life? Do exactly the opposite. There is a silver lining in everything. Try to find it, and focus your thoughts on it. Look for and recognize all other things in life that are positive, and those you can be thankful for. The results are the opposite of complaining. When you think positive thoughts and say positive things, you receive more of the positives in your life.

There are two ways to determine what kind of thoughts you are thinking. I wrote about this yesterday, and the opening quote relates to it. How are you feeling? If you are feeling good and joyful, it means you are thinking positively. If you are not, then you are most likely thinking negative thoughts. When you change the way you feel about something, you see the results in your life. Speaking of results, that’s the second way to tell what thoughts you are thinking. If you are seeing positive results, it means your thoughts and feelings are on track. If you’re not seeing the results you want, then check the way you are thinking, and the words you are saying and make any necessary adjustments.

I fully understand things don’t always go our way in life and that negative things happen to us, some of which we have no control. However, in most cases we do have control. I challenge you to think twice before complaining. You will find the same results as my friend, whose situation kept getting worse. Instead, focus on the solution and visualize the positive outcomes you desire. Then go get ’em. Have a spectacular day : )
