Empower Your Mind At The Beach

March 18, 2013

I live in Buffalo New York. We are known for our snow and difficult winters. For the first three months of each year I spend a great deal of time dreaming about the beach, and finding ways to get me there. Usually it’s done through video, photos, etc. This year is no different.

I am also a firm believer in using positive affirmations to impact my subconscious mind. When your mind is filled with positive, powerful thoughts, the inspired action follows, and you are much more likely to gain success.

I found a wonderful video/audio that helps the listener accomplish both the beach and positive affirmations at the same time. I especially like this program because the positive messages are subliminal. They are embedded in the ocean sounds. This is important because it prevents the subconscious from rejecting the positive ideas. For example, if someone doesn’t believe they are smart, they don’t believe it when someone tells them how intelligent they are. They reject the idea of intelligence because they think they are not. However, once the mind hears something often enough, it starts to believe it. What this program does is feed the brain with 30 minutes of positive thoughts. Ultimately, these are the thoughts that dominate the mind.

I find it best to listen to this at bedtime. It is extremely relaxing as I feel like I am laying right next to the ocean. I can feel the warmth of the beach and the positive feelings it brings. It’s so relaxing that I sometimes fall asleep. However, even if I do, positive affirmations are still being poured into my mind. Affirmations such as:

I am unlimited
My life flows with harmony
Life is full of wonderful opportunities
I am open to divine guidance
I naturally succeed
Unlimited abundance awaits me
And many more

I encourage you to relax with this program. Spend time experiencing the positive feelings it brings. You may ask, does this type of subliminal affirmation really work? I can’t answer exactly. However, I can tell you that I feel much more positive and energetic the mornings after I listen to it. For me, it definitely works in a positive way. Ultimately, I believe the same would happen for you. Please let me know what you think. I’d also appreciate you sharing any similar types of programs or techniques that help you. In the meantime, have an excellent day : )

Great Steps To Make Your Mind Happy

March 4, 2012

It is a fact that the more we use the power of our mind, the greater our chances of success. If we want to maximize our mind power, I believe we need to maintain a happy mind. I found a video by Nelson Berry that outlines 4 ways to exercise the power of our mind:

  1. Set goals. The most efficient goals are clear, specific, and present tense.
  2. Clear the mind of clutter. Just as our homes are more comfortable when they are clear and clutter free, our minds work the same way.
  3. Listen to music. Our favorite music has a very positive effect on our mind-set. It helps cultivate the mind, relax, and help us feel good.
  4. Repetition/Consistency. The object is to continuously see the the change we want to be in our minds, and repeat positive phrases to ourselves. When we do that, we are guided to act it out and manifest the results we desire.

Solving Affirmation Problems

November 4, 2011

There is much information in blogs, books, and articles about the power of affirmations. I have shared about this topic a number of times on this blog. In case you don’t know, positive affirmations are words or phrases we repeat to ourselves. As our subconscious mind hears these words, we begin to believe them and act accordingly.

You may ask..what’s with the title? If we are making our affirmations positive, how could there be problems? Here’s the answer. Our subconscious mind tends to believe things as they are. It’s possible that you’ve heard negatives for so long that it’s the only thing your subconscious believes. When we first try to replace that long-standing negative with a positive, our mind doesn’t believe it. In these cases, the affirmations don’t work, and people then give up. For example, you may begin affirming to yourself..”I am extremely confident”. If you have been thinking lack of confidence for a long time, it is natural for your subconscious to answer this question by saying..”no you’re not. You are fearful as you have always been”. Or you may affirm…”I am wealthy”, while your subconscious says…”no you’re not. You’re almost broke!”.

How can we change this? One way is to constantly repeat the positives and eventually let them overtake the negative. This can be done, but it can take a while. I have read a very effective way that can work in a much shorter period of time. In the book “The Power of the Subconscious Mind”, author Joseph Murphy suggests simple, one word affirmations. For example, instead of saying “I am wealthy” and risking subconscious rejection, simply repeat and focus on the word wealth. Imagine wealth, and repeat the word. Feel it as you repeat it. When you do this, it is much less likely that your subconscious will reject it. In fact, the more you do this, the more the subconscious will believe it. He also suggests using other one word affirmations, such as success, power, confidence, faith,¬† health, or whatever it is you are seeking. As you say it and feel it, it tends to sink in to the subconscious. As this happens, you begin to act it out and live accordingly.

Affirmations have worked very well for me. When I follow this guideline, it speeds up the process, and I see faster, more effective results. I strongly recommend you try this method. I believe you will be very happy with the results.

Enjoy the blessings : )
