A Minute by Minute Guide to Maximizing Time Management

June 9, 2014

Let’s start by doing a little calculation. You may want to do it yourself too since I am certainly not a math wiz. Anyway, how many minutes are in a day? 60 minutes in an hour x 24 hours = 1440. Now, considering we are asleep for about 440 of those minutes, let’s say we have 1000 useable ones a day.

1000 minutes seems like a lot. And it is! The problem is they don’t seem like a lot because we often don’t use them wisely. That is the key…wisely managing the time we have, no matter how little it is. I’ve shared here on more than one occasion a tip I learned about breaking the day into 15 minute chunks. 15 is a good number because you can get a significant amount done, and a short enough time that if you catch yourself after wasting a few of these blocks, you can still make it up and accomplish something.

So why am I talking about 1 minute blocks today? I was reminded about something I heard from Abraham Hicks about manifesting your desires. Abraham said that it takes only 1 minute of solid, focused visualization to begin the process of manifesting your goal. I don’t know how this number was determined, but I do know that Abraham Hicks is one of the great pros for manifesting greatness in life. As a result, I am listening to whatever is being suggested.

In thinking about this, I realize how many minutes, hours, and even days I let slip by without taking time to visualize life the way I want it to be. When we remove our focus on what our life is now and all the things we don’t want, and place it instead on what we do want our life to be, it begins to manifest into the desired state. And all it takes is a minute at a time to visualize that greatness.

I am not saying that we need to visualize and focus on every single one of these minutes. The way our human mind is wired makes this virtually impossible. However, use at least some. We have a thousand minutes a day! Even if you find it difficult, you can start with a small number. For example, start with just 10 minutes a day of solid visualization. Then as you become more proficient you can increase that time. If you stick to it, you will begin to see positive results, which will inspire you to continue. The key is staying focused on your goal, and taking small chunks of time during the day, even if those chunks are as small as a minute. It’s much better than going thousands of minutes without spending time to pray for your greatness and see it in your mind.

How many minutes will you use to build your greatness today? The answer is totally in your control. So is your wonderful future. Enjoy the blessings ūüôā

It Only Takes a Minute

January 9, 2014

I was reading a report from Esther Hicks. If you don’t know who she is, Esther¬†in my opinion, is one of the greatest speakers and authors about manifesting our goals and desires.

The report was about the power of visualization to convince¬†the subconscious mind that our desire can become reality. I’ve been visualizing for years, and it’s truly a great experience. However, many people don’t take the time to do this. I have even gone long periods where I fail to practice visualization.

The question is…if visualization is so powerful and effective, who don’t people do it all the time? There are several reasons, but I believe the main one is that people think they have to spend a huge amount of time doing it…time that they don’t have much of.

If that’s you, I have some good news. According to Esther Hicks, you can make effective changes by visualizing for only 68 seconds at a time. That’s right. Only a minute or so. I don’t know where she came up with 68 seconds. However, I do¬†know that she has helped me and thousands of others reach their goals. I’ll listen to whatever suggestions she provides. I also decided to try this and see if this was enough time. Sure enough, I found that visualizing for even this short amount of time was a big help.

I find this to be excellent news. Like many, I don’t have as much time as I would like to visualize the success I crave. However, 68 seconds can be spent anywhere, such as a grocery line, waiting at a traffic light, in between tasks, you name it. Obviously, the more time you can spend visualizing, the better. However, even just a minute or two is better than not at all. In addtion, it is enough time to improve your frame of mind and provide the necessary confidence to take the steps to accomplishing your goals.

I suggest you try this exercise. Next time you get even the shortest break, spend just over a minute visualizing the successful completion of your goal and feel the corresponding positive emotions. I guarantee you will bring yourself closer to its reality. Enjoy the blessings : )

How Can I Use Mind Power For Rapid Manifestation?

November 6, 2013

We all have our goals, don’t we? Hopefully, you answered yes to that question. I know from experience that not only do we want our goals and wishes realized, but we want them now. Or at least as quickly as possible.

What are the quickest ways to get there? For years I have learned that, through the power of your mind and the power of God, you can go anywhere you want to go. Prayer is certainly a helpful option, and the two ideas I’ve been told consistently are affirmations and creative visualization. I have shared several posts about each, and I can certainly tell you that they are very effective.

In case you don’t know, I will provide the crash course here. Affirmations are positive words and phrases you say to yourself over and over again. Creative visualization is using your imagination and playing pictures in your mind of you being the person you want to be and experiencing the life you want to experience. They work well because they affect the subconscious mind, which is the part of your brain makes you the person that you are.

In the past, I have done these two things separately. I would spend some time stating affirmations, then later times visualizing. However, I have recently discovered an even more effective way to use these tools to manifest my goals even faster. I have found that an effective key is to use affirmations and visualization together at the same time.

I will say that I am certainly not a multi-tasker, which is one reason it’s taken me this long to realize the power of this. However, it’s not difficult to do, and if I can do it so can you. Keep your affirmations simple. I have said simple statements, like wealth, God-power, love, joy, etc. Then at the same time, I picture a visual representation. For example, if I say wealth, I spend some time visualizing money. Then I eventually see myself enjoying the benefits of having this wealth and living my life as if I have the exact amount I am looking for. It has a very powerful effect. If you know the Law of Attraction, you know that powerful, positive focus and feelings can only bring you what you are seeking rapidly.

Another reason this is effective is because it doesn’t allow the subconscious to question it. Often times when people do affirmations, the mind doesn’t believe it because it has been so negatively conditioned. For example, you can affirm “I am wealthy”, but it is not effective. This is because your mind is then responding, “No I’m not!”. By just saying wealth or power or whatever you are seeking, there is no resistance. Then when you picture it, you start to believe it. That is because your subconscious mind cannot tell the difference between a real or imagined event. Once it is convinced of something, it believes it as truth. That’s how your beliefs are formed, and then you act accordingly.

I have experienced unbelievable confidence and power in my life since I began affirming and visualizing at the same time. I can see and feel my faith increasing, and I am knowing that it’s only a matter of time before some long-awaited goals are reached. The same can be true for you. Affirm great things in your life that you want. Then immediately see it happening in your mind through visual representations and seeing and feeling yourself experience it. You too will be more confident and willing to make your goals happen. Enjoy the blessings : )

Painting A Beautiful Picture

Painting A Beautiful Picture

October 26, 2013

I have been blessed by God in that I have been given several talents. However, painting and art is not one of them. You are reading a post from the absolute worst artist in the world. I will challenge anybody on that. In fact, one of my students who claimed he was the worst artist challenged me to a contest to see who was the worst. We created our stick figures, and he nodded his head. He said…”you know what? I agree…you are worse”.

Anyway, I share this because no matter how bad of an actual artist you are, you can still create a beautiful picture. God has provided us all with a wonderful gift called imagination. With it, you can create the most beautiful pictures and scenes you can think of.

I share this because I have learned of the power of creative imagination, also known as visualization. I have been reminded of this because, in my incredibly busy schedule, I have had difficulty finding the time to visualize the success I am seeking in my life. However, like other things I am used to in life, I began to miss and crave this visualization experience. I had some down time last night, and once again enjoyed this wonderful experience. This horrible artist painted an incredibly beautiful picture : )

Why is visualization so powerful? Because it affects the subconscious part of your brain. This is the part of your brain that ultimately affects your actions and results. Here’s the key…your subconscious cannot tell the difference between a real or imagined event. If you continually visualize success, your subconscious believes you are successful (even if you have failed continually) and leads you to successful actions.

Here’s more good news…it doesn’t take a long time for your subconscious to be convinced and your frame of mind to be changed. I read one report by Abraham Hicks that it can take as little as a minute and a half visualization to positively affect the mind. Obviously, the more you can focus on the positive results you seek, the better. However, hopefully knowing that it doesn’t take a long time (remember, even just over a minute is highly effective) can provide the incentive to take advantage of this wonderful gift.

I have long been aware of the benefits of visualization and have shared about it plenty of times before. However, I got away from it for a while and was recently reminded of the benefits and experienced them again. I recommend the same for you. Take a few minutes to consider what success you want to achieve. See yourself experiencing it in your mind, and feel the positive emotions. Your subconscious will see it as real, and lead you to the actual experience. That’s a beautiful picture that even the worst artist can paint. Enjoy the blessings : )

How Do You Feel About Your Wishes Coming True?

How Do You Feel About Your Wishes Coming True?

April 6, 2013

Think of one of your greatest wishes. How would you feel if it came true? That’s the question of the day.

Please don’t think of a one word, 10 second answer. Seriously think about it. How would it feel? What does it look like? Where are you? Who are you with? What are you doing? How does it sound? Can you taste or smell anything? How does it feel to the touch? Play this scene in your mind. Live it, experience it, and feel every positive emotion. It’s a great experience isn’t it?

What you just did is something known as creative visualization. Living out your desire as if it’s actually happening. What you also did was bring that desire much closer to you. How? It’s all part of the Law of Attraction and the power of your mind. The more your subconscious mind sees your wish being realized and feels the excitement and joy of it, the more it believes it. The more you believe it. And when you believe it, you are much more likely to put yourself in the position to make it happen. The Law of Attraction has a lot of factors. Basically, when you feel the positive emotions of your desire being realized, conditions align themselves to make it more likely. I see it a bit differently. I see it as God rewarding your faith, and arranging the situations to answer your prayer.

To make this work, spend as much time as you can today answering the introductory question…”how would I feel when”…you fill in the blank with your wish. Then spend as much time as possible feeling the way you would feel. Focus on those feelings of joy, accomplishment, freedom, energy, or whatever it is. It may not bring your wish today, but I can attest that it will make you more happy and joyful just from the enjoyment of this experience. And when you are happy and joyful, great things happen anyway!

I know from experience that this process works. Not only does it bring more joy to my day, but it brings me to my life’s desires, and I am amazed every time when they are realized! I will also say that if my exact wish is not realized, it either happens later, or I receive something better. The same is true for you. You can’t lose!

I would love to hear about what your greatest wishes are and how it would feel when they are accomplished (notice how I didn’t say if). I invite you to share, and I will certainly pray for their fulfillment. May every wish come true : )

How Far Can Clear Vision Take You?

February 15, 2013

Your vision is the promise of what you shall one day be. – James Allen

It helps to have good clear vision in life, doesn’t it? It’s logical that you can accomplish more in broad daylight, being able to see well than stumbling unclearly in the dark.

The opening quote is a strong reminder of the benefits of clear vision. When you envision the successful completion of a goal clearly in your mind, you eventually live it out. This is because your subconscious mind picks up on the visions and feelings of faith, and you act accordingly.

Use these words as inspiration today. Take time to envision the success you are seeking. See it. Believe it. Make it happen. Have faith as you hold the vision in your mind, and feel the positive emotions you know you will feel when the goal is realized.

Tell me what you see. How good is it? You will one day be what you are seeing. It’s in your control. Make it happen, and enjoy the blessings : )

Can You Imagine?…See Yourself Living Your Dream Life

February 8, 2013

What would you consider your dream life? I would like you to reflect on the answer to that question. Then picture that dream life right now. Who are you with? Where are you? What are you doing? What does it feel like? See yourself as the star of your life and enjoy every second of this journey into your imagination.

What you are doing is called creative visualization. It is true that you receive in life what you focus on. You may not even do this deliberately, but for example, if you focus on lack, doubt, and negative situations, you ultimately see and experience those types of situations in real life. When you focus on infinite possibility and positive outcomes, that is what usually plays out in your life. It’s all in your hands. Knowing that you control the outcomes, what visions will you allow to play in your mind?

You may ask..how can visualization impact your outcomes? The answer is that it is all part of the subconscious mind. It’s the subconscious that ultimately controls all action we take, or lack of it. It determines whether we move ahead with confidence or hesitation. It does so by responding to the messages it receives. The cool thing is that it can’t tell the difference between a real or imagined event. As a result, when you imagine positive scenes of success, the subconscious¬†accepts it as true. When it believes it as true, you are then inspired to act and move towards the goal without hesitation. You take the inspired steps to make it happen.

Many people believe in the power of visualization. However, they don’t know how to practice it effectively. There are many videos and articles online to assist with this process. I have found one that’s helped me, and I will share the link at the end of this post.

I strongly recommend you use the visualization techniques outlined. The visions will become part of your mental make-up, and will become more and more real. I believe rapid results will follow. As always, I encourage you to share your successes here so others can be inspired. Enjoy the blessings : )

What Is Your Vision Of Success?

January 21, 2013

Do you believe you can succeed? The answer may be an obvious yes. Hopefully it is. However, there are many people who truly don’t believe they can reach their goals. It is often suggested to visualize success in the mind in order to develop the faith necessary to¬†make it happen. However, sometimes people just can’t see success or the possibility of it through their own eyes.

How can one change this and enable themselves to visualize success? One excellent way that was suggested to me is to see all situations through God’s eyes instead of your own. Think about it for a minute. In God’s eyes all things are possible. In God’s eyes everything is good. In God’s eyes there is only love. the list can go on.

When we see things through God’s eyes we indeed see the possibility of success instead of our own doubt. We see and take advantage of the goodness in every situation instead of the negative and shortcomings. We see love in everybody and evything. When we do this, we automatically set ourselves up for our own success.

The next time you doubt the possibility of success, think again. Pray¬†and visualize success through God’s eyes of infinite possibility. Visualize only the most ideal scenes and situations. Become so convinced of the achievement of your goal that no one, including yourself, can tell you otherwise. See the good, and love what you have. It’s a gift from God. He can see it, and so can you. Enjoy the blessings : )

An Extremely Helpful Visualization Technique

January 19, 2013

I have to admit, I have some quirky habits. One is that I am very good at remembering exact months and years that songs were popular. I can hear most songs and pinpoint it almost exactly. Some nights I enjoy listening to songs and deliberately putting myself back to that time in my life. I spend the three minutes or so visualizing the detail…what was I doing, who was I with, what was I watching on tv, where was I working or going to school, what was going on in the world, etc. I am very good at clearly re-living those events, and I actually feel like I went back in time for a few minutes. It definitely elevates my mood as well, and I often wake up the next morning with a smile on my face.

As I return now to 2013, many people talk about how creative visualization can help you accomplish your goals and create the life you are seeking. It’s a great idea, but it’s sometimes difficult for people to envision an event that has never occurred. As a result, they get frustrated, say it doesn’t work, etc. This can bring you further from where you want to be.

Visualization is a very helpful technique, and it has helped me develop the confidence I need and take the action necessary to accomplish goals. As mentioned, it’s not always easy to envision a future event. So how can you make it easier? You can practice by envisioning past events. Go back in time to a pleasant memory. Re-live the details. Where were you? How were you feeling? Who were you with? What were you doing? How did it look, feel, sound, taste, and smell?

It’s much easier to envision a past experience, especially a positive one. The key is to do all of those same things as you visualize a goal that you have for today. See it as if it’s happening. Where¬†are you? How are you feeling? Who are you with? What are you doing? How does it look, feel, sound, taste, and smell?

When you live out your dreams in your mind with vivid details, your subconscious mind begins to believe it. It cannot tell the difference between a real and imagined event, so it’s assuming it’s real. This gives you the confidence you need to take the necessary action. Then you begin seeing results in the real world. It only gets better from there.

People say to avoid living in the past. I believe it’s true, we shouldn’t dwell on the past. However, why not use the same tecnhiques for reliving beautiful memories of the past in detail to create your beautiful life of the future and live the details. After all,,,”It’s a Beautiful Life” (Ace of Bass, December 1995).

5 Step Visualization Process

August 4, 2012

Dreams and wishes. We all have them. If only they would come true.

I regularly stress on this blog that we possess much of the power in helping bring these dreams to reality. It is important to pray and let God do His work in our lives. However, He has given us free will to use responsibly to play our part. That responsibility includes keeping our mind and heart right, and focusing on positive, faithful thoughts.

One effective way to develop and maintain a positive frame of mind is by creative visualization. When we visualize the success we are longing for, we set up an entire chain of positive events. We develop the faith necessary to make it happen; we train ourselves to believe in the possibilities; we take the positive action necessary to make it happen. These are just a few of the many positives.

The problem with visualization is that it is sometimes easier said than done. Sometimes it is difficult to focus and concentrate, while some may not know exactly what to do. I will say that there are many ways to visualize. It’s a matter of finding what works best for you. However, as I researched the internet for some helpful information, I found an excellent article that I¬†believe is¬†a great guide in starting the visualization process. The article outlines 5 simple steps:

  1. Set yourself a clear goal.
  2. Maintain a relaxed posture.
  3. Visualize your goal being achieved.
  4. Feel the positive feelings as if it were really happening.
  5. Take immediate action.

As you can see, this is not a difficult process. You don’t have to spend a long time doing it. It’s just a matter of doing it consistently. When this process is followed on a regular basis, it usually recent in noticeable results in a short period if time. I recommend you try it and see for yourself. For more information on this process, I have attatched the link to the article I obtained this information from. Have an excellent day : )
