Mid-Summer Reflections

July 28, 2021

Not everything goes as planned. Have you heard or experienced that before? Its on a minor level as far as this blog is concerned, but that’s been the case this summer. Since I am on vacation from the stress and fast pace of teaching, I fully intended to write and share a great deal in the 8 weeks that I have off, both here and with a new book I’m writing. Well, so much for that.

It’s not that I’ve been doing nothing all summer. In fact, at the halfway point of my break, it’s been the perfect mix of peace and relaxation and fun and accomplishment. I should have a lot to write about since I have spent significant time developing my spiritual muscles and feel very close to God. Sometimes I feel like things don’t happen fast enough, but I am continually learning ways to speed up that process. I’ve also been able to travel twice in the past two weeks. One weekend at a reunion with college friends in the Adirondack mountains, and this past weekend on a family trip to New York City. Both expensive, yet priceless experiences. Other rewarding experiences have been the continual development of the golf game I started last summer, and responding to a friend’s challenge to learn German together. So far I’ve learned about 300 words in a month, and definitely feel like I can already use the language in a very minor way. Sehr gut, Joe!!

I can’t say I’ve learned a a whole lot of new ideas, but the great thing about this past month is that I’ve had plenty of time to reflect on and review what I already do know. And that is, that whenever I desire to talk to God and learn more about Him, He is there to help and guide me. Also, life is lived on the inside. I’ve shared it hundreds of times, and I’ve been reminded again in excess that the quality of life (thoughts, attitudes, and beliefs) on the inside are eventually what I experience on the outside in the exact quantity and quality.

I hope that, whether this is a peaceful or extra busy time for you, you can take some time to shape your own thoughts, attitudes, and beliefs to create joyful experiences and manifest excellence in your own life. Enjoy the blessings 🙂

Blogging In a New Direction

November 12, 2017

If you are a regular reader of this blog, you will know I’ve been inactive for quite some time. It’s for a variety of reasons. The main one is that I have gone against my own advice and allowed circumstances to govern my actions and thought process.

As I get back to writing information that hopefully inspires and empowers people, I am taking just a bit of a different turn. I have recently discovered excellent resources that translate and explain the verses of the Bible in different ways. I have used these resources (widely available online and on smart phone apps) to enhance my knowledge and understanding of what God’s word says, and I have used it to enhance my own life. It has been very enlightening.

My goal is to share the different takes on these verses along with the concepts I’ve learned and written about previously regarding how to use this information and the power of your mind to take your life to a higher level.

I will say that you don’t have to be a Christian to benefit from this information. If you have further questions about Christianity I would happy to share the faith further. However, my main objective is that you benefit from the Biblical information presented, use it to enhance your life, and empower those around you as well.

As always, I encourage you to share your own thoughts and how you may have used this information or how it relates to your own life. I sincerely appreciate your faithful readership and contribution 🙂

A New Direction in Faith

August 4, 2016

Hello my loyal and cherished readers. Every once in a while we are prompted to move away from a successful endeavor to respond to a greater call. In an effort to positively impact as many people as possible, I felt the calling to focus on a more specific area of self-help and personal development.

As a result, I have created a new website which I hope you will continue to follow. It is called God and Mind Power. The themes I am focusing on to help you and hopefully many others enhance your life are being aware of and accessing the power of God that so readily shares, and using one of His greatest gifts effectively…that is the power of your own mind.

I realize many of these same themes are shared at this site, and after 4 years of developing this site and meeting so many great people, I am certainly not giving this site up. I would hope you would still enjoy the almost 400 articles I have available here. It’s just that, as I said earlier, I feel the need to narrow my focus and start from scratch in doing so.

Once again, I thank you for your loyal readership on this site. The goal is to help you take your life to the highest level possible. I promise that does not change with a new site. As always, feel free to share your thoughts, comments, and anything you believe will help impact more people. Enjoy the blessings 🙂

The First One

August 11, 2011

Wow, the blogging bug has hit me again! Same writing, different location. I’ve been blogging on various sites for about 3 years now. I’ve decided it’s time to do it on my very own site.

So what can you expect to see here? Positive. Lots of positive. I see more and more each day how, the more we maintain a positive state of mind, the more our lives turn out that way. Are things in life positive all the time? Of course not. However, even negative situations have something positive for us to experience or learn from.

My goal and prayer is that this blog is an inspiration to many. My desire and aim is to share positive information and stories that will build faith, help myself and others be the people they want to be, and impact the world in a positive way. Feel free to contribute your thoughts and add any information you find to be helpful. I thank you in advance for that.

In the meantime…have an excellent day : )
