More Inspirational Logic

I swear I’ve returned to the Fall of 1984. If you read my previous post you will see that I had a sudden flashback to a logic class I took in my freshman year of college. I shared a logic affirmation that worked well, so I decided to try another one that inspired me this morning from Matthew 7…

A. Ask and it will be given to you.

B. I am asking

C. Therefore, it will be given to me.

It’s as simple as that. Affirm this and watch how your emotions rise to the top of the positive scale.

This can be done with any verse or saying that you like. Choose your favorite and affirm the logical equation throughout the day. It works wonders.

Logical Affirmation

For some reason I had a mental flashback to my freshman year of college. I was brought back to a logic class that I loved and hated at the same time.

In honor of that, I will share an affirmation based on one of those logic formulas:

A. All things are possible to those who believe

B. I believe

C. Therefore, All things are possible for me

Does this sound logical to you? If so, affirm this several times through the day. You will see a noticeable increase in your faith and confidence. Try it!

Empower Your Mind At The Beach

I live in Buffalo New York. We are known for our snow and difficult winters. For the first three months of each year I spend a great deal of time dreaming about the beach, and finding ways to get me there. Usually it’s done through video, photos, etc. This year is no different.

I am also a firm believer in using positive affirmations to impact my subconscious mind. When your mind is filled with positive, powerful thoughts, the inspired action follows, and you are much more likely to gain success.

I found a wonderful video/audio that helps the listener accomplish both the beach and positive affirmations at the same time. I especially like this program because the positive messages are subliminal. They are embedded in the ocean sounds. This is important because it prevents the subconscious from rejecting the positive ideas. For example, if someone doesn’t believe they are smart, they don’t believe it when someone tells them how intelligent they are. They reject the idea of intelligence because they think they are not. However, once the mind hears something often enough, it starts to believe it. What this program does is feed the brain with 30 minutes of positive thoughts. Ultimately, these are the thoughts that dominate the mind.

I find it best to listen to this at bedtime. It is extremely relaxing as I feel like I am laying right next to the ocean. I can feel the warmth of the beach and the positive feelings it brings. It’s so relaxing that I sometimes fall asleep. However, even if I do, positive affirmations are still being poured into my mind. Affirmations such as:

I am unlimited
My life flows with harmony
Life is full of wonderful opportunities
I am open to divine guidance
I naturally succeed
Unlimited abundance awaits me
And many more

I encourage you to relax with this program. Spend time experiencing the positive feelings it brings. You may ask, does this type of subliminal affirmation really work? I can’t answer exactly. However, I can tell you that I feel much more positive and energetic the mornings after I listen to it. For me, it definitely works in a positive way. Subliminal Success

I have recently become intrigued by the concept of subliminal videos. If you are not familiar with subliminal videos, they are videos which show hidden messages. Usually they are positive affirmations that quickly flash on the screen before you can read them or even see them. Some of these messages are also embedded into an audio format, such as ocean waves, thunderstorms, or a fire.

What is the purpose of subliminal videos and audios? And do they work? The purpose of subliminal affirmations is to positively affect the subconscious mind by repeating positive messages over and over again. You may ask, “can’t this be done by self-talk or just reading these messages? Yes, but the problem is this…in many cases your subconscious is so full of negative messages that, when it sees something positive, it doesn’t believe it. For example, suppose you are fully convinced that you are not intelligent. If someone were to tell you that you’re smart, you may think something like, “yeah right”. You don’t believe it, and it doesn’t get through to the subconscious. That’s where subliminal messages are helpful. The positive messages come through and are not stopped by negative thinking. Instead, the positive messages get through to the subconscious. When the subconscious hears and sees something enough, the negative thoughts that embedded are replaced with the positive thoughts you want to have. Eventually, you begin to act on those positive thoughts.

Do subliminal messages work? I am one who believes they do. However, in order to be effective, you need to watch and listen on a regular basis. Once is not enough. Subliminal videos and audios work best when watched on a daily basis for weeks at a time. That allows the positive messages to displace the negative ideas buried deep in the subconscious.

There are many subliminal videos that are available, depending on the area of your life you are trying to change. I choose one in particular to share here  for several reasons. This one is only 8 minutes long, so it doesn’t take a great deal of time. It also provides positive messages about several topics, such as wealth, sales, confidence, and positive thinking. The video messages are subliminal. The audio is not, but it provides very helpful information to back up the visual  messages. I strongly suggest you give it a try. Please let me know what you think. Affirm Belief

All things are possible to him who believes – Mark 9:23

The above quote is easily one of my favorites in the Bible. It also comes from one of my favorite stories in the New Testament. A man asks Jesus to heal his son “if he can”. Jesus questions him..”if I can”? like..are you kidding me? Don’t you know I can do anything?

As much as I enjoy the above story, there are many times where it hits me right between the eyes. There are many times where I pray “if you can” prayers. There are other times where I lack the faith needed to make all things possible.

A question I’ve often asked and you may be asking right now is..how do I change this? How do I develop the belief necessary to make all things possible? I have found that there are two main ways..

  1. Ask – Simply ask God for it. This has always been a bit ironic for me. I’m supposed to ask God for things with the faith that He’ll do it. So how can I actually ask Him for faith? Sounds weird, but He is ready and willing to help us increase our faith. In the story above, after Jesus rebukes the man’s “if you can” statement and says all things are possible, the man asks Him for this very faith to make all things possible. In the next verse he specifically asks, “please help me overcome my unbelief!”
  2. Positive affirmations – Besides divine help, I am convinced God has given us the will and ability to help ourselves. I also believe he expects us to use it. One way I’ve learned to do this is by positive affirmations. I often discuss the benefits of positive affirmations on this blog. If you don’t already know, they are simple positive statements you say to yourself over and over until you begin to believe it. These statements can be extremely simple. For example, in his book “The Power of Positive Thinking”, Norman Vincent Peale says the best way to stop worrying and have faith is to simply say to yourself, “I believe” over and over and over again. If you think it doesn’t work, then try it. I have used this technique many times in stressful situations, and in some cases it’s as if the stress magically disappears. Other simple phrases work just as well, especially other Bible verses like the one I began this article with.

The bottom line is that the more your brain hears these statements, you feel the corresponding emotion, and take inspired action, you believe it. These thoughts then become part of you and your being. These thoughts replace the thoughts of worry and unbelief. What happens next is that it affects the action you take. In fact, if you let unbelief linger you often take no action because you are afraid of failure. When your mind is full of faithful thoughts, you instead are convinced of success and will take the action quickly to make it happen.

If you want the results you are seeking in life, affirm belief and faith. Say it and see it in your mind. Then watch it unfold on the big screen of your life. The coolest thing is that, once you see these positive results, it only increases your level of belief, and more great things happen. Believe me, I can totally affirm that this is true. 7 Excellent Positive Affirmation Tips

Ok, I’ll admit it. Yes, that was me you saw talking to myself as I was stopped at the red light. But it’s ok. I’m not losing it, going crazy, or anything like that. I was telling myself great things that I need to hear, and I need to believe.

You may recognize this as positive affirmations. I discuss the topic often at this site. It is a very effective way to replace negative beliefs held deep in your subconscious with positve, uplifting ones.

What am I supposed to say, you ask? Whatever you need to believe. Is it more confidence you seek? Remind yourself how much you have. Trying to be a better friend? Remind yourself of how you are a valuable person whose company is a treat.

There are many ways to incorporate positive affirmations into your day. Today, I will share some helpful tips from an article I read recently. It provides excellent information on how to use positive affirmations. I will share the link at the end of the post:

  1. Make all statements positive. No negatives.
  2. Use present tense, as if you already have what you are seeking. Avoid using future tense statements.
  3. Use affirmations that create positive emotions.
  4. Don’t worry about any resistance you may be receiving from your subconscious mind.
  5. Have fun with this!
  6. Once you have said the affirmations several times move on and do something else.
  7. Be patient. You may not see immediate results, but be persistent and you will begin to see the changes you seek.

It is amazing how powerful affirmations can be. I will sometimes be reminded to use them at points in my day when I am struggling. As a result, my thoughts are immediately shifted from negative to positive, and the day changes for the better. 10 Ways To Increase Your Confidence

I have done an extensive study into the power of the mind to enhance the quality of life. One of the most helpful resources I’ve encountered is the book, “The Power of Positive Thinking”, by Norman Vincent Peale. The book is loaded with information to help increase positivity and power. He also provides simple, easy to use action steps to carry out in order to reach your desired goals.

One of my favorite parts of this powerful book is a list of tips to increase self-confidence. I can testify first-hand that these steps work if used on a regular basis. As mentioned, they are simple, logical, and easy to carry out. Here are the 10 steps:

  1. Hold a picture of you succeeding in your mind. In every situation, view yourself as successful, and avoid doubting the success that you are seeing. Instead, hold onto it and continually watch these scenes of success.
  2. Whenever a negative thought about yourself enters your mind, immediately replace it with a positive one. Be sure not to fight the negative thoughts. That only seems to make it worse. Instead, acknowledge it, but remind yourself that the positive thought is the real truth about yourself, and let it gradually take over.
  3. Do not build up obstacles in your mind. Deal with them accordingly, but instead of seeing them as mountains, see them as a temporary challenge that will only increase your confidence and character.
  4. Be your best self. Avoid comparing yourself to others.
  5. At least 10 times a day, affirm “God is for me so no one can be against me” (Romans 8:31).
  6. Seek help when you need it. No one ever said you have to do everything on your own. Know that people are there to help, and utilize their services.
  7. At least 10 times a day, affirm, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Philipians 4:13). This is an extremely powerful statement, the most helpful for me. When this is drilled into your head, you will feel virtually unstoppable,
  8. Make a true estimate of your ability, then raise it 10%. Do your part the best you can, then let God help you go above and beyond.
  9. Affirm the following, “I am completely in God’s hands. Then actually put yourself there, knowing He is fully in control. His outcomes are better than anything you can come up with.
  10. Believe that you now and constantly receive power from God.

Honestly, how difficult are these to do? They don’t take much time, and when done consistently, they put your mind in a positive, powerful state, helping you firmly believe you can accomplish anything.
