Did you know that you have the power to create your life? It’s true. I know what some of you are thinking right now. It is God that controls my life. After all, He created it in the first place, and He has full control. I would never disagree with that statement. It is true, and I often state that one of the wisest things we can do in our lives is let go and let God take control.
The more I learn about life on this earth, the more I learn that God wants to use us to accomplish His will. He wants to use us for His glory and greatness. In order to do that, I have learned that He has left much of the responsibility in our hands. I believe He wants us to be co-creators with Him, to accomplish His great will.
Although God is the ultimate creator, He has always used people to bring it about. Think of the greatest inventions. God had them in mind since the beginning of time but used people to carry them out. Heck, He even uses people to create other people!
I have studied the idea of deliberate creation for some time. However, I read the clearest definition I’ve seen to date, and I would like to share it with you. It comes from Abraham Hicks in the book “Ask and it is Given”. Deliberate creation is defined as “focusing on what is intended while being constantly aware of one’s vibrational state of being, and connected to one’s Source”.
To me, this is further proof that we have control of the circumstances in our lives, and we don’t have to let them control us. In this definition, I see a simple, 3 step formula that can help you, me, or anyone create the life they desire:
- Determine what you intend to be/do/have – The first step in the deliberate creation process is to set an intention. What exactly do you want? Once you have determined the exact desire, affirm the intention as often as possible. This works well for two reasons. One is that once the mind is locked on an idea or intention, it finds ways for you to act upon it and bring it into manifestation. Also, when you affirm that you intend to accomplish something, you don’t have the negative resistance from the subconscious canceling out the positive thoughts. For example, if you affirm “I am at my perfect weight” and you are unhealthy at the moment, your mind may prompt you to look in the mirror and remind you how untrue that statement is. When you say you intend to be whatever your perfect weight is, it is more believable, and your mind can focus on the goal with little or no resistance.
- Maintain a high vibration – I have written about the importance of vibration, which is the level of energy you are projecting. The higher your vibration, the more you set yourself up for blessings and the achievement of your desire. Often these blessings arrive in ways you would have never imagined. You can maintain the highest vibration by living in a state of joy, gratitude, and positive expectation. This step alone can transform your life. You can also use it hand in hand with the first one. When you affirm your intentions, visualize what it would be like to already have it and feel those high, positive emotions that raise your vibration in the process. This will certainly speed up the process of creating your ideal life.
- Stay connected to God – As with the other steps, you can bring great blessings into your life by following this step alone. Staying connected with God automatically keeps you at the highest vibration level. And when you ask specifically what God wants for you, it is impossible for that prayer to not be answered! I find that when I am well connected to God, I am much more clear of exactly what I need to act upon, and what I can leave in God’s hands for Him to do. I also know if I am going in the right direction, or if I need to detour and take other steps to go somewhere else.
When you follow this process, you can indeed create the life you are seeking to live. You can be or do anything you desire. You are co-creating with God because you are doing your part to make it happen, and allowing Him to do His. And remember, with God all things are possible. I recommend you start with this simple process to begin creating your dream life.
This is a small sample of the creative process. If you are seeking more in-depth knowledge and practice of the creative process, I recommend this program by Dr. Robert Anthony, The Secret of Deliberate Creation. This program provides in-depth information on you how to use the power of your mind along with this creative process to remove doubts, fears, and thoughts of failure, and take you instead to great confidence and success.
You may not think so, but you are creative. God made you that way. One of the greatest gifts He has given you is the ability to work with Him to create the life He wants you to live…a life of joy, adventure, and success. Enjoy the blessings 🙂
