Is Vibration Biblical?

I have been living the Christian life for over 25 years. As a result, I rely on the Bible for practical guidance on how to live my life and to answer any moral questions that arise. During the past five years, I have also done an extensive study on the power of the mind, positive thinking, and the Law of Attraction.

Every once in awhile certain ideas come up within some topics, especially regarding Law of Attraction, that I question. However, the more I study, the more I realize these concepts are indeed Biblical.

One topic that I’ve focused on lately is the area of vibration. What exactly is vibration? Basically, it is one’s level of positive energy and emotional state. It is said that when you have a high level of vibration, you are more likely to attract positive situations and people into your life. The highest vibrations are feelings of love, joy, peace, and gratitude.

As I looked into this further and studied ways to increase my own vibration, I felt the need to discern this message and confirm that this is a direction I should be moving in, so I prayed for God’s guidance. The great thing is that when you ask God for answers, He is always willing to provide them. After a very short time, I received an affirmative answer with one of my favorite Bible verses. It’s one of the shortest, yet powerful messages in the entire Bible. The verse is I Thessalonians 5:16-18 and it says…Be joyful always. Pray continually. Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for your life.

How does this verse prove the power of vibration? It consists of the very elements that keep our vibration high. When we pray, we are in direct communication with God. When we are love, joy, and gratitude, we are operating at our highest level. As an added element, we are empowering ourselves by following God’s will according to the last part of the verse.

There are many skeptical Christians in the world when it comes to the Law of Attraction and some of its concepts. I mention it to some and I am accused of falling for New Age heresy, living in a name it and claim it and prosperity gospel. Being a Christian myself I still have some of this left inside of me. It’s ok to question things. That’s how we learn the truth. However, once again I have learned the Biblical connection to one of these life-changing concepts. I reflect on examples in my own life how great things happened when I was loving, happy, and thankful. I see that God wants me to be this way as often as possible. When I am at this high vibrational state, He will bless me and use me to bless others. And as far as the other doubts are concerned, my view of name it and claim it is called faith, and the Gospel is a key to living a prosperous, full life.

Now that you know God’s word instructs us to live in love, joy, and gratitude, keep yourself at these levels of thinking and feeling as much as possible. You will see a dramatic increase in positive events and opportunities in your life, which will only make you even more happy and thankful. You will love the results 🙂

Thank you so much. I think God lead me to this page because I was being more and more doubtful that Christianity and LOA/the power of the mind could be coherently linked to each other. I couldn’t find any other Christian to talk to about this, except my boyfriend who does not agree with everything because he hasn’t studied the LOA subject as much as I have. I’ve found a little peace of mind in your words.

I very much appreciate the wonderful words! I can relate because I fought this mental battle for a while.

After much prayer and research, I realize the two can go hand in hand as long as we avoid the materialistic approach to the Law of Attraction. Instead, we can use our high vibration of love, joy, and gratitude to enhance the kingdom of God as a whole. When we seek this first, all of the other things will automatically materialize on our lives.

Thank you again for the confirmation that God is using this for good 🙂

I have also been in the same place as you growing up in the church many of the things we were taught were bad. I’ve spent the last 8 weeks with a group of ladies who call themselves spiritual and not religious, lightworkers. What I have learned by watching them is that many of the things Christianity would frown upon or teach us to be fearful of are things we would readily accept if they were presented in Christianese terms. God tells us to let our light so shine that others will see our good works and glorify God in heaven. These women believe in being a light to everyone around them by giving unconditional love to everyone. God is Love. They seek to detach from the physical world so that they cam be more effective in this mission to love man kind and teach others how to draw closer to God. Set your mind on things above, not on things of earth is what the Bible says. They talk about how God is in all of creation the trees the moon the sun the starts. All of creation declares God’s glory. They believe they were created and they worship their creator. Some call him God some call him source. They understand that spiritual growth requires spiritual disciplines, meditating.. connection with source/ praying to God. I have been set free from so much since working with them. I believe this is what God intended for us to understand and walk and commune with him on a spiritual level. Everything I have learned can be backed up Biblically or is something Christian do but by another name. Be encouraged, fear not God is with you and will guide you.

  2. […] “ask anything in my name and it will be given to you” . I wrote in a previous article, Is Vibration Biblical? that when you maintain a high vibration, you are in essence following the will of God in 1 […]

Wow! Your idea about vibration linking to biblical view is quite overwhelming but i think you have failed to notice that there are some loop holes in your claim.

First of all if we have to surround ourselves with positive vibrations, then can u please explain me how u react or profess when you’re about to kick by some storms of life. Eg : Pain, agony, suffering and depression etc etc

Btw the verse that you quoted it was just mere “Joy”! But the verse goes like “Rejoice in the lord always”. You’ve to look on the sentence (IN THE LORD) eventually it isnt the joy or happiness that world gives because that world gives FUN and ENTERTAINMENT but only God gives true Joy in your heart.

I feel sad for your enlightenment when u quoted that “Gospel is the key for prosperity” That must be joke of the year. I will accept what your saying truth, if you provide me with one verse in NEW TESTAMENT or in Gospel were Jesus mentioned that you will have prosperous life if you accept me or you accept the truth.

Where did Jesus had prosperous life?? Where apostles had prosperous life?? Where did missionaries had prosperous life??

You might do define the word prosperity in right way.

Please don’t spread any false truth.

Everything from the WEST have not to be BEST.

    • Beep says:

It depends on the definition of “prosperous.”

    • Antonio says:

I am glad you consulted the scripture for clarification on this. John prosperity is not always about money. However, money is needed by the church to carry the Gospel what makes it bad is the love of money. Anyway have you ever seen a poor fulfilled person. I was lacking in finances where collectors came knocking and repossessed my furniture car etc I still trusted in God He was not responsible for those things. The devil I thought had to be but neither it was my own lack of knowledge and understanding. Prosperity is one thing Success is another. Praise God I can say that I’m a success because I learned to apply the knowledge and wisdom of scripture to my life. For whom the son sets free is FREE indeed old things are passed away, behold (look) all things have become new. Salvation encompasses ALL things.
2 Peter 1:3 His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness. You can tell that He owns the silver and gold and the cattle on a thousand hills. He is our Father. We are His children and Heirs, joint heirs with Christ.

Thank you so much for your excellent, well-thought comment. This will certainly be a help to me and anyone reading this. Have an excellent day 🙂

      • Jesus said that not even the son of man has a place to lay his head at night. Jesus was completely full and whole yet had nothing.

Your comment suggests that your success is dependent on you. This leaves no room for the plans and purposes God has already prepared for you. His will is not dependent on your response.

    • Greg says:

This is noth’n but witchcraft,, people think they can think themselves joy and peace,, ONLY The Holy Spirit Gives us that,, the power of positive thinking is a false doctrin,,, it’s satanic,,, Stick with God,, the ONLY way

You are amazing. I hope there are many Christians living the spiritual life itself. I believe the word of God and I love Jesus and I know that he is in me. The vibration is good when one is in the silence.
God is good and keep up the great work. I hope you still blog.
    Much love

Vibration is definitely biblical, is it true that God created us?

    YES

Is it scientific that the atoms at the subatomic level vibrate?

    YES!!

SO we are always vibrating at some level.. either positive or negative. Based on the free will we have we get to choose.

Based on what God’s will is for us, what level we want to vibrate at is totally up to us. However, we can take heed to the bible verse that joedalio has provided us and see that God’s intention is for us to be in a high vibration.

I think the bigger issue here is the word “vibration”. We as Christians allow the world to take what already belonged to God in the first place and make it their. Really??

I’m going to vibrate in the holy spirit all morning!! How NOT new age is that??? They could care less about the power of the Holy Spirit.

Now does this vibration mean we will without a shadow of a doubt be wealthy with a whole bunch of money….no it doesn’t. False teachers will try to convince you of that. New Age thinking will make you think you are responsible for where you are vibrating and it’s your fault you dont get what you desire. New Age beliefs cause us to rely on ourselves and our own thinking…not the word vibration in itself.

Following in God’s will doesnt prevent us experiencing trials, tribulations, pains and hurts but we have a knowing and a faith that all of those things ultimately work toward and for our good!! Even though we may not understand it. That my friends is Faith.

We dont have to vibrate at a low state when we are going through negative things because we know, love, and trust the God we serve. We can choose to believe that he loves us and guides us down a path that is in our best interest whatever He chooses for that to look like. That again is Faith!

His will is to prosper us and that means in the areas that He sees fit, spiritually, financially, physically, relationally!!! I see nothing wrong with choosing to stay in high vibrations because its his will and we understand that we attract more positivity to our lives because of it.

I am constantly trying to find some golden thread between totally awakened and religion. But as long as you do not understand this one thing where Jesus claimed to be “Son of God” also “to be God” you will not understand the total devastation religion caused in people. After I awakened I read the Bible again and then I understood what Jesus was REALLY teaching… 🙂

  8. Deekay says:

Thank you so much. I’ve been doubting myself. I would increase my vibration and I honestly enjoyed what I felt. I got to appreciate life and see everything in a positive way.
I felt at ease. It was very weird cause I saw things differently. But after reading this. I’m sure God will lead me cause I’ve been doubting this this all along.

    • joedalio says:

Thanks so much for the comment! I’ve had the same doubts in the past, so I undetstand. Its reassuring to know that being joyful and thankful is His will 🙂

  9. Israel says:

Brother thank you for sharing this perspective and your perspective. I concur that God is light.. Jesus said I am the light of the world.. He said we are the light of the world.Light is energy. Vibration from perspective is the knowledge, understanding and wisdom we recieve from what we pay attention to and what we pay attention to is our frequency or that which we choose to tune into or give our energy too. I speak from a place of power and results.. I support your search for truth in God. At the end of the day, if you what you believe produces the fruit of the spirit as Galatians speaks of ..Keep going..and if Jesus be lifted up, then he will draw all men to Him through your walk with him..

  10. I would suggest it’s the other way around. Vibration isn’t Biblical. The teachings in the Bible stem from vibrational reality. So the Bible is a subset of that which is vibrational. I realize this may rub Christians the wrong way.
Thankfully, you offer the basic tenet of all: be joyful and positive. A lot of people (not just Christians, but them as well) get all wound up in other details. But as you’ve noticed, positivity is God’s perspective. And when we match to that, our life becomes heaven on earth. Such good stuff!

    • joedalio says:

Thank you so much for adding such interesting perspective. It iis definitely something to be considered. As you point out, it is the core of those verses we should remain anchored in…being joyful, thankful, and in constant communication with God 🙂

Last night I was awoken by the beautiful presence of God. One word holy spirit said to me was vibrations. I had no idea and am still a little unsure as to what it means but it has lead me to this blog, so thank you for some understanding on this subject. I would appreciate it if you would pray about this, but would you consider looking more into this and doing some teaching on it? Thank you, Bless you!

  16. Hi Joe, thank You for appreciating my Article. If you like that one, here is an article I think you will like https://simonpaulauthor111.wordpress.com/2021/05/24/peace-and-prosperity-is-only-possible-through-the-holy-spirit/

  17. Synchronicity is an exact science. The more I capture my Spiritual Life in My Journals, and the incredible serendipitous moments, I am blown away at how The Holy Spirit, the Rua’h Ha kodesh, The chi, the Mana, and every reference to The Breath of Life recorded by Mankind, tends to connect our seemingly unrelated experiences; and when we don’t see those moments for what they are, they are repeated! Amen.

  19. Hello Joe,

Great post—thanks for sharing it. I am a long-time student of the law of attraction and have read many books on the subject. I wondered if you had ever read any by Neville Goddard, such as “The Power of Awareness,” “Consciousness is The Only Reality,” or “Faith is Your Fortune.” I have gained a great deal of understanding through some of his books.

    Kind regards,

    Art

    • joedalio says:

Thank you again for the comment. Very funny that you ask…I am currently re-reading Neville’s book “The Feeling is the Secret.” I’ve read The Power of Awareness, and a book of his about prayer, though I forget the name. There are also plenty of YouTube videos of his I’ve listened to. He’s amazing, and has helped me a lot.

The Gospel of Christ is what you need to focus on, not vibrations. How do you know that Satan isn’t giving you “good vibrations.” Can’t he disguise himself as an angel of light?

    • joedalio says:

Thank you for the comment. Our vibration is the heart, which we are to guard with all diligence. That is what our responsibility is. I don’t disagree with what you are saying. And I will add that if we do indeed focus on the Gospel of Christ and let that sink into our hearts, that will be the well-spring of life we all seek.

    • There is a difference between the wonderful vibrations that come from abiding in Christ and those as a result of working up vibrations in and for “self.” When we walk in peace, joy and righteousness because we obey God, people can feel it…. It’s a wonderful attracting power because it’s Him (the Spirit of Christ, even Jesus our Beloved) vibrating His love out of us. Little children sure have vibrations, eh? And we’re to be just like them. I have a 98 year old friend whose vibrations are “cheer” all the time, and her message is to just “BE.” And yep! I’m BEing with lots of love…. Sending some to you and blessing your walk with our Lord.
      ❤️Michele

Please be careful with adopting the philosophies of the world. They can sound really nice but end up taking focus away from where it’s supposed to be. Remember that Jesus was the example sent by God to show us how he wanted us to be and believe. In his teachings, there are things that he focused on and words he used. They were perfect in their delivery because he reflected the way God chose them. With that in mind, it’s not great ultra focus on theories that aren’t from the scriptures and ascribe them to God or his will. That’s not saying that the idea of vibrations is inherently wrong, it’s just that if it was a central part of how God wanted us to think, worship, and live, Jesus would have overtly spoke about the notion. We are meant to focus on what’s there and what it truely means, but it’s not ok to add to it and make that addition a primary focus. Our love for God is expressed thru devotion and sacrifice. Happiness is not required, but contentment can be attained. What I mean by that is, we don’t HAVE to be happy or seek it to be loved by God or to show that we love him. We just have to try as hard as possible to live up to his standards and we will make it day to day. Many of Jehovah’s servants lived with depression and sadness, but are remembered by him and are in his love. That’s the most important thing to strive for.
