I have been living the Christian life for over 25 years. As a result, I rely on the Bible for practical guidance on how to live my life and to answer any moral questions that arise. During the past five years, I have also done an extensive study on the power of the mind, positive thinking, and the Law of Attraction.
Every once in awhile certain ideas come up within some topics, especially regarding Law of Attraction, that I question. However, the more I study, the more I realize these concepts are indeed Biblical.
One topic that I’ve focused on lately is the area of vibration. What exactly is vibration? Basically, it is one’s level of positive energy and emotional state. It is said that when you have a high level of vibration, you are more likely to attract positive situations and people into your life. The highest vibrations are feelings of love, joy, peace, and gratitude.
As I looked into this further and studied ways to increase my own vibration, I felt the need to discern this message and confirm that this is a direction I should be moving in, so I prayed for God’s guidance. The great thing is that when you ask God for answers, He is always willing to provide them. After a very short time, I received an affirmative answer with one of my favorite Bible verses. It’s one of the shortest, yet powerful messages in the entire Bible. The verse is I Thessalonians 5:16-18 and it says…Be joyful always. Pray continually. Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for your life.
How does this verse prove the power of vibration? It consists of the very elements that keep our vibration high. When we pray, we are in direct communication with God. When we are love, joy, and gratitude, we are operating at our highest level. As an added element, we are empowering ourselves by following God’s will according to the last part of the verse.
There are many skeptical Christians in the world when it comes to the Law of Attraction and some of its concepts. I mention it to some and I am accused of falling for New Age heresy, living in a name it and claim it and prosperity gospel. Being a Christian myself I still have some of this left inside of me. It’s ok to question things. That’s how we learn the truth. However, once again I have learned the Biblical connection to one of these life-changing concepts. I reflect on examples in my own life how great things happened when I was loving, happy, and thankful. I see that God wants me to be this way as often as possible. When I am at this high vibrational state, He will bless me and use me to bless others. And as far as the other doubts are concerned, my view of name it and claim it is called faith, and the Gospel is a key to living a prosperous, full life.
Now that you know God’s word instructs us to live in love, joy, and gratitude, keep yourself at these levels of thinking and feeling as much as possible. You will see a dramatic increase in positive events and opportunities in your life, which will only make you even more happy and thankful. You will love the results 🙂
